Who Founded The Catholic Church?
Share
Jesus Christ Founded The Catholic Church and St. Peter was the first Pope. As shown in scripture:
Matthew 16:18 "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church."
In this verse, we see Christ starting HIS Church.
For 2000 years there has been an unbroken line of Popes from St. Peter to Pope Francis today with divine teachings and doctrines that trace back to Christ and the Apostles.
This includes the fact that the Catholic Church also wrote and compiled the New Testament of the bible. St. Peter and St. Paul are both buried at Catholic churches in Rome.
No other Christian Church, denominational or non-denominational can claim this. All others trace their teachings and doctrines to men, the protestant reformers such as Martin Luther, John Calvin and others.
Doesn't this make you Love Being Catholic? Not only do we have the Sacraments God instituted and our Faith in Christ, we also have a direct connection to Christ through history in His Church, from the Apostles through the Bishops and the Divine doctrines for 2000 years.
God bless,
